Pastoral Emergency Holy Communion Marriage Baptism Burial Holy Unction Receiving Holy Communion If you are a baptized Christian, believe in the Real Presence of Christ in the Blessed Sacrament, you are welcome to receive Holy Communion. If by intinction (dipping), please allow Chalice Bearers to dip the host in the Chalice. Those not receiving Holy Communion are invited to come to the rail, cross their arms, and receive a blessing. Holy Communion for Children - The norm in this parish is for all children, First Grade and up, to attend the First Holy Communion classes with parents during Eastertide and then be officially admitted to Communion on the Feast of Pentecost. Because of an older tradition that rightly acknowledges that baptized children are full members of the Body of Christ, some children, younger than First Grade are mature enough to receive with an appropriate level of understanding and respect and may do so at the parents discretion with the approval of the priest. |
