Frances Gray Meyers | Organist

Organist Frances Gray Meyers, has a Roman Catholic and United Methodist Church background. She attended New Mexico State University (formerly New Mexico A&M) in Las Cruces. Her first organ teacher was Dorothy Kelly, organist during the 1970's at St. Michael's by the Sea. Among other teachers have been James Weld of Palomar College , Don Small (former organist at St. Paul's Cathedral), and Catharine Crozier. She worked as parish secretary for Fr. Aaron Driver during the 1970's.

Fran is married to John Meyers, a retired Marine, who also is retired from the Bank of America. They have two grown children. Her first organist position was at Old Mission San Luis Rey from 1965 to 1975. Her other position was as a part time organist at King of Kings Lutheran Church in Oceanside. She has substituted at both liturgical and non-liturgical churches. Fran is active in Palomar Chapter American Guild of Organists.
