Bible 101

“In the beginning. . .” Genesis–in fact, all of scripture–starts with this phrase. And like any story, the Bible has a plot, a theme, a main character, and conflict.  The Bible is a single story in 66 chapters (or books: 39 in the Old Testament and 27 in the New Testament).  And from this first statement to the last (“Even so, come Lord Jesus” Rev. 22:20) we hear God’s voice.  We read history, poetry,  letters, proverbs, law, and prophecy.  The Bible contains great romance, battles, adventure, heroes and heroines—start to finish the story of salvation.

Bible 101 goes verse by verse through the Bible. Weekly sessions are held Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8 pm in Ede Hall.  No fees, no homework, no extra books to buy; a Bible is all you need.

The Fall 2010 semester begins Wednesday, September 8. We are studying Exodus, but remember . . . IT’S NEVER TOO LATE TO JOIN!
