“In the beginning. . .” Genesis – in fact, all of scripture – starts with this phrase. And like any story, the Bible has a plot, a theme, a main character, and conflict. The Bible is a single story told in 66 chapters (or books: 39 in the Old Testament and 27 in the New Testament). And from this first statement to the last (“Even so, come Lord Jesus” Rev. 22:20) we hear God’s voice. We read history, poetry, letters, proverbs, law, and prophecy. The Bible contains great romance, battles, adventure, heroes and heroines - start to finish, it’s the story of salvation.
Bible 101 goes verse by verse through the Bible. Weekly sessions are held Wednesday evenings from 7 pm to 8:30 pm in Ede Hall. No fees, no homework, no extra books to buy; a Bible is all you need. Remember . . . IT’S NEVER TOO LATE TO JOIN!
Which book are we studying now?
This month (January 2012) we are studying the Gospel of John.
