Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper

Join us on Tuesday, February 21 for the annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper! St. Michael’s chapters of The Brotherhood of St. Andrew and Daughters of the King will serve supper from 5:30 pm to 7 pm in Ede Hall.

This traditional supper marks a long-standing practice of faithful Christians preparing for the Lenten discipline of fasting and abstinence by using up baking supplies and other foods prior to Ash Wednesday. The word shrove comes from the word shriven, which means to be purged, or made clean, through a penitent life.
