Maria Mahaffey became St. Michael’s Children’s Minister in November 2010. Many of you may recognize Maria or at least her two boys, Andrew and Matthew, as she has been a parishioner at St. Michael’s for four years. Maria grew up in the Episcopal faith in St. Louis, MO and came to us from St. Paul’s Anglo-Catholic Episcopal Church K-St. in Washington, DC and Aquia Episcopal Church in Stafford, VA. Maria also serves as a Catechism teacher (4th and 5th grades) and Children’s Chapel leader. She is a credentialed teacher who has worked with students in all grades, pre-K-12, and in all subject areas. She looks forward to working with St. Michael’s many ministries to enrich the experiences and growth of our smallest parishioners.
