
Josephine McGrath was born and raised in Utah and holds a Bachelor’s degree in piano performance from the Eastman School of Music, and a Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of California Santa Barbara. She has grown as a musician under the tutelage of Janna Springer, Susan Duehlmeier, Nelita True, Charles Asche, and David Gell. She has won various awards and places in national competitions, and has served as organist for parishes and churches in Washington and California. Throughout her career she has been active as a recitalist, accompanist, church musician, and piano teacher. She is married to Daniel McGrath and is the mother of four children.
